And so, Alx the good heart broke through the film which separated himself from the audience. He acknowledged them, and made for the door. They were astounded.
So quiet, it sounded as though there was no one present to hear the silence: astounded. That only happens in the movies.

And in such bewildered astonishment, a confusion bereft of complication, Alx, too, wondered if the film was over, or if it was continuing: following his steps or, instead, the flickering reel.
